A window connects internal and external worlds through an ever-present opening between personal and public space. “Window Exchange” (working title) is a project in which I collaborate with art spaces and individual artists to exchange their current view for another. This project takes poetic license with the idea of a view, allowing one place to be exchanged for another place inhabited by another person. The installation will involve sculptural windows that display streaming video shot through the windows of collaborators in locations around the world. These virtual openings offer a chance to bear witness to a small part of another life. Collaborators who are sharing a view are invited to create “windows” of their own design to display another live feed from another collaborator.
