This segment resulted from a photographic archiving project comprised of digital images taken sequentially from analog television signals between 2005 and 2009. Using a rabbit ears antenna to tune in distant signals and document facial expressions as they came through the broken signal. When taken out of context these highly produced images begin to break down into basic facial expressions and body language that our brains are hard wired to recognize and decipher. During this investigation I captured thousands of photographs eventually becoming focused on capturing physical language as observed through layers of mediation.
